What is Consignment?

In addition to offering new items for sale, Julie's Closet accepts better quality new and like new items from ladies in our community to display for sale in our shop.  We will place the items on our floor, advertise them in newspapers and social media, as well as other selected venues. Julie's employs sales associates to sell your items for you.  When your items sell, you earn 50% of the sales price after a 10% Buyer's Fee.

What do the dots mean?

The question we get asked most often is "What do the dots mean?" Check the dot color on the tag. It might be 25% or even 50% Off! Hundreds of items are a part of our dot clearance every day :) See the chart below for details on how our dot system works.

When can I bring my items in?

We will begin booking appointments the first business day of each month for an appointment to bring your things in, so we can set aside time just for you. Appointments are booked one month in advance. For example, if you call on July 1st your appointment will be in August. We will continue to take appointments until the entire following month is full. Then we will close our appointment book until the first of the next month.

What items do you accept?

We are looking for better label clothing in "like new" condition & current styles purchased within the last year or two. We also accept jewelry, purses, shoes, and accessories.

How do I know what has sold?

You can call (813-381-3846) or stop by to check your account. We can let you know what has sold and how much you have on your account.

When are payouts?

Monday - Friday. You may use your credit to shop in our store anytime.

How long is the Consignment period?

90 days for clothing and accessories. 120 days for jewelry.

What happens if my items do not sell?

You have the option to donate to our store or to pick your items up after the 90 day consignment period is over.

When do I pick up my items that didn't sell?

If you opt to pick up your items at the end of the 90 days, we will pull your items off the floor. We will then contact you by phone and/or email to let you know they are ready for pick up. You have one week from the date of the call to pick up the items, otherwise they become property of our store.

Who sets the price?

The Store sets the price for the items, typically 30%-50% of original retail pricing. For high end items we will work with you and create an agreed upon fair price.
