Meet the Staff
Julie & Brian Pomeroy
Julie's background as an administrator for veterinary hospitals for 25 years in the Brandon area provided the training and set the stage for us to launch a business of our own. As practice manager for the Animal Emergency Clinic in Brandon from 1986 – 1999, she gained insight into all aspects of running a small business, from an administrative standpoint and gained practical customer service experience. In 1999, she was asked to join Dr. Kerry Jackson at her growing practice in Brandon, as practice manager and administrative assistant. For just over ten years, she enjoyed being part of this team. Always interested in fashion, Julie was more than excited about making the dream of owning her own boutique and consignment shop a reality.
With a degree in finance and business administration, Brian wears many hats, taking care of our network of computers, banking, payroll, and scheduling, as well as building maintenance. He's also Julie's “tag team partner”, where they spend several hours each day evaluating and entering items into inventory and tagging them for sale. Always upbeat and friendly, Brian is a huge help during our open house “Ladies’ Nights”, keeping the food and refreshments coming and greeting our wonderful customers as they arrive for these events.
Originally from St. Charles, Illinois, Clare graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Criminology. She recently acquired her nursing degree from Hillsborough Community College. Clare loves clothing, sales, and interacting with people, making her a perfect fit at Julie's.
Debbie is a social butterfly and her passion for jewelry makes her a great complement to our team. Born and raised in Tampa, she is a huge hockey fan and enjoys cheering on the Tampa Bay Lightning. She is involved in the local community and is quite the "foodie," pairing the perfect wines and foods to satisfy any palate. In her spare time, Debbie is a volunteer assistant chef at the Rolling Pin Kitchen Emporium, also here in Brandon.
Debbie comes to us after a 33-year management career with Hallmark and has been a friend of our shop since our old storefront. Born to a military family, Debbie was born in Lakeland but has lived all over the United States. She is a Disney fanatic and avid Donny Osmond fan. If you ever have any questions about Brighton brand jewelry, she is our resident "expert" and loves all things Brighton!
A friend of our shop for years, Laura is originally from the Midwest (Chicago & Twin Cities). Her background in marketing, public relations and fundraising brings much appreciated knowledge and support to Julie's as we learn to more effectively market our wonderful shop. When she is not at our shop, Laura is a full-time mommy to her preschool-aged daughter and newborn son.
Nancy comes to us from Ashland, KY, bringing with her many years of management and customer service experience having retired from Kroger. Nancy loves clothes and has a great sense of style and is wonderful with our customers. She shares her love of jewelry with each lady who visits our shop, often showing off her favorite pieces she by modeling them for our shoppers. We love her Southern Hospitality!
Susan's property management and retail experience make her a wonderful addition to our group. Joining us in December of 2010, Susan is great with our customers and even makes beautiful beaded jewelry to sell in our shop. She has developed such a connection with our customers who often seek her out to help them choose the perfect outfit.
