What is Consignment?

Consignment is an agreement in which goods are left with a third-party to sell. Julie's accepts better quality new and like new items from ladies in our community to display for sale in our shop.  When an item sells, the profit is split 50-50 between the consignor and Julie’s (after a 10% Buyer’s Fee). More information on how our consignment process works can be found under our “How to Consign” tab.

What do the dots mean?

The question we get asked most often is "What do the dots mean?" Our clothing inventory is color-coded based on when it arrives. As inventory nears the end of its consignment period, Julie’s reduces the corresponding colored dots for Clearance.

Shoppers get the best clearance finds when they know which dots are on sale—just ask any of our associates for the clearance colors! Hundreds of items are a part of our dot clearance every day—you can save up to 50% off when you look for the sale dots! :) Check out the chart below for details on how our dot system works.

When can I bring my items in?

Julie’s consigns by appointment only. We book appointments one month in advance and scheduling is done on the first day of each month (excluding Sundays when the shop is closed). For example, calls on July 1st will be for booking August appointments. We do offer priority scheduling for Luxury and High End Designer brands—please check out our How to Consign tab for more information.

What items do you accept?

We are looking for better label clothing in "like new" condition & current styles purchased within the last year or two. We also accept jewelry, purses, shoes, accessories and select home decor items.

How do I know if my items have sold?

You can call (813-381-3846) or stop by to check your account. We can let you know what has sold and how much you have on your account.

When are payouts?

Cash payouts can be made Monday - Friday. For balances over $100, you may request a check for pick-up at a later date. You may also use your consignor credit to shop in our store anytime.

How long is the Consignment period?

90 days for clothing and accessories. 120 days for jewelry.

What happens if my items do not sell?

You have the option to donate to our store or to pick your items up after the 90-day consignment period is over.

When do I pick up my items that didn't sell?

If you opt to pick up your items at the end of the 90 days, we will pull your items off the floor. We will then contact you by phone and/or email to let you know they are ready for pick up. You have one week from the date of the call to pick up the items, otherwise they become property of our store.

Who sets the price?

Julie’s sets the price for the items, typically 30%-50% of original retail pricing (depending on item’s condition). For luxury and high end items, we will work with you to come up with fair price in which both parties agree.
